Hujan lebat, ribut petir dan angin kencang diramal di lima negeri sehingga jam 9 malam ini.
Jabatan Meteorologi Malaysia (MetMalaysia) menerusi satu kenyataan berkata bahawa amaran cuaca itu melibatkan seluruh negeri Terengganu.
Begitu juga di daerah Kuantan, Jerantut, Maran dan Lipis di Pahang.
Bagi negeri Johor pula, hanya daerah Kota Tinggi yang terlibat.
Beralih ke Sarawak, hujan lebat dijangka membabitkan daerah Sibu (Kanowit), Kapit (Song), Bintulu (Sebauh), Miri (Bario), Limbang.
Manakala, di Sabah pula, amaran tersebut melibatkan daerah Sandakan (Sandakan, Labuk & Sugut, Telupid dan Paitan), Pedalaman (Membakut dan Beaufort).
MetMalaysia keluarkan amaran hujan lebat
MetMalaysia berkata amaran dikeluarkan apabila terdapat tanda-tanda menunjukkan ribut petir dengan intensiti hujan melebihi 20 mm/jam yang hampir atau dijangka berlaku melebihi sejam.
“Amaran ribut petir adalah amaran jangka pendek yang sah dalam tempoh tidak melebihi enam jam untuk satu-satu keluaran,” katanya.
